Saw this at my local Walmart in an odd spot. They had a lot of clearance items above the display cases. There were several of these (500GB, 1TB and other sizes) above the headphones. When I checked Brickseek, the prices are ALL OVER THE PLACE! Another Walmart just 5 minutes away has it listed for about $60. That's a decent price but if you can find it for $25, GET IT.

This drive is compatible with USB Type C or Type A (adapter included.) Works with PC or Mac. I haven't tried it with my Playstation yet but I don't know of any reason why this wouldn't work for that as well.

Normally the closeout deals or ones listed like this one has a second link that say https://brickseek.com/ and with the item will be a listing to that item, if you put in your zip on the brick seek page it will tell you what stores in your area have it and the cost. The only issue is Walmart does not always update their stock right away and its a bits hit or miss, sometimes I see how recently the Slick deals post is, if its a newer post or like me I have there app and I get alerted of the deals I look for you stand a good chance, if the deal has been out all day or more you can bet that many have already been to Walmart to buy up those clearance items

from what i've read around the internets, you might be better off using SD microSD cards. if i'm not mistaken, the high frequency of write activity increases the wear and tear greatly on SSD drives. the files themselves are not high quality or big so you won't benefit from the speed if that's what you're after. i use a microSD 32GB card with a aluminum USB reader to help w/ heat from the card. i use this reader https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VDDDPKY. as far as capacity with 32GB, it hasn't been much of an issue. i rarely use sentry mode but with the latest sw update, i can view and delete videos in the car when i need to clear any to make room. now my model 3 does record constantly when driving but it deletes as it gets full. not sure which tesla you got or which sw version.

Absolutely. This and the Samsung T5 are the most recommended portable SSD for Sentry Mode. Many many people use it for that purpose. What you are really after is high write endurance, which vast majority of MicroSD card are not designed for. Even high endurance MicroSD cards that are designed for continuous video recording pale in comparison to one of these portable SSDs when it comes to write endurance.

Yes, you can. There is tape around the drive once opened and the drive itself is held down by adhesive. Look up "take apart" with the drive name and you should see some videos of people doing so.

Getting a little greedy there buddy.
I speak from the perspective of an severely abused Walmart brickseek user.

Limited stock means 0. 2-4 means 0 in stock. 6+ also means 0 in stock
3 in stock according to bs but nothing when I got there

They're probably trying to clear out the old 550 MB/s for the new(ish) 1050 MB/s models. Still, that's a steal. I have the 1050 MB/s version hooked up to my Playstation and it's been working great even through a bunch of power failures and drive re-builds. It runs cool too even under heavy use. I'm sure the 550 model is just as solid.
