I speak from the perspective of an severely abused Walmart brickseek user.

Limited stock means 0. 2-4 means 0 in stock. 6+ also means 0 in stock

I'd call the stores before going. There's this myth of not calling the stores...sure, waste your time! Last year there was this super duper "price mistake" posted on slickdeals for a Xbox HD and I thought I was doing it big by quickly going to the Walmart in question to snatch up one for me....

"Oh folks have been asking for this thing for the past few weeks. It's just not here"

In 2021 if it's on Slickdeals it's old news. Resellers are on their own private discord chats and facebook groups snatching up deals. But your average hard working retail employee don't give a crap about your $25 external HD deal or $50 headset....especially not enough to try to store it away in the crevices of a store that has millions of cameras.

Buy me some and I'll Venmo you I'm dead serious
Unfortunately it was out of stock at that store but I'm thinking of buying at another store and doing the return and rebuy trick at the $10 store

Anyone know how well this will plot for CHIA mining?

K32 plot writes take around 1.7TB written. So, you can write 94 plots before destroying this drive. (160TBW) So, it would last a little over three weeks at 6 hours a plot.

Found one at a Walmart near me, but clearance price was still $70. Another Walmart down the road had price listed at $22, but none in stock any more Frown
Same here, but it rang up 22.50.

You have to look for them. The one I found was not with the other external drives. Also, they had the 64gb SanDisk ultra flair for $6.23

I got lucky with my Walmart visit and I scored one. Walking out the Walmart felt like Vincent and Jules walking out the restaurant at the end of the Pulp Fiction movie.

imo brickseek deals should never be FP...too YMMV

even price mistake deals have much better chance than these brickseek deals.

Yes, BS for Walmart is always B.S. Thanks for saying it better than I usually do so I don't feel compelled to rant about it.

Set a local alert for price drops on BS. This is the best chance to secure the deal, aside from manually refreshing local prices daily. Got my LG 65" OLED C8 for $750 this way (plus other killer deals).
Thanks for the tip didn't know you could do this!

Yes. I did it on the 1tb drive last week. Was 127 when I bought and the next day i checked BS and the price dropped to 44. I got a cash refund and bought the same item back.

Edit. This was from the same store, not a different store like you asked.

Agreed.. I've been on here for over 11 years and have NEVER scored one. I've made multiple trips thinking.. Maybe just maybe the employees didn't stash the items under the counter this time... But no.
