In SF this isn't really the bargain it seems. The cost per minute of riding scooters is very high compared to even taking a Lyft or Uber.

It's usually $1 to unlock and $0.36 a minute. The Pass makes it free unlock and that's it.

Wow, .36 cents a minute? You might as well purchase your own scooter.

Is this deal still valid? I downloaded Lime, setup paypal as my default payment option, and now I don't see any lime pass monthly subscription. I only see the day pass, I am not able to find a monthly pass subscription.

Promo terms say "Limited to the first 27,000 offers" so it may be out already. Either way, all this does is remove the $1 start fee.

Yeh but then you have a scooter to deal with at the other end. I agree with clever string, alternative methods of travel are often cheaper, especially when its more than a mile or two. Prices seriously need to come down.

The only real time I've seen these as being useful was for some people I was talking with at professional conferences to get between the hotel and their conference. They were staying ~2 miles away, far enough to get sweaty on a walk, and close enough waiting for your uber took longer than the ride. Work was paying for the scooter, so they were mostly cost insensitive. Feel like that's a pretty niche market, though, lol.

36 cents a minute to use a friggin' scooter? LOL. Pass.
I would really have to be in urgent need of making it to the only public bathroom a few blocks away to rent one of these.

can someone do a cost assessment of this as a function of insurance value, as in vs the risk percentage of having to pay a fine for urinating in public
