With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.
Worked for two Hondas... use a unique (or misspelled ) name if you've previously been an active customer.

This,,.agree 100% I was a very long XM sub before they merged..Then little by little they started to remove my favorite channels or merge them. I cut the cord and just use my iPhone in BlueTooth mode and listen to DI.FM in 320k MP3..Sounds so much better and I can now listen to my favorite music again (they removed 'Electric Area' and 'Backspin') to name a few.
My dude... DI.fm! Been listening to them since the early 00s.

I can smell their desperation. They fire all the talent last fall to pay for Howard and lost a ton of listeners, including me. I do miss the music but not for $20/month that increases regularly.
Even if you pay, it should be $5 a month at most. Many posts here to guide the way.

SirusXM sucks.

We have a Spotify family plan so with phones and BT we cover all family members, in multiple vehicles, in-home and away, with much better audio quality.

How can you fake your VIN or radio number?
You cannot fake either of those. How else would XM know which device to send the signal to? It's no different than giving a fake mailing address so you can receive a free coupon. defeats the purpose. LMAO

Just be warned Sirius goes extra heavy with the spam calls and junk mail.
I still receive calls once in a while about a Chevy I sold a year ago.
I have a lifetime subscription. Thanks to the Alvarez lawsuit and Sirius/XM losing I can now transfer my subscription as much as I want. For some reason now Sirius doesn't contact me anymore. LMAO
