These mother bitches hounded me to death when my subscription expired after purchasing a new car. Never again, even if free.

Just to add more to this thread, I went from being neutral about them to hating them after my new vehicles's trial has been up. My trial ended the third week of October, and since then, I have received at least 50 calls, letters, and emails wanting me to renew. Even when I specifically told multiple agents on different calls that I didn't want any callbacks and was not interested, that didn't reduce the amount of solicitations. Horrible company. Horrible product. Not worth any price, not even free.

Just a heads up, they will hound you like a mofo trying to get you to sign up, when you're trial ends. No is not an answer for them. They will call you and mail you constantly trying to get you back.
Only if you are stupid enough to give them your phone number, personally I use an ex girlfriend or someone I don't like at work...

When I bought my car, it came with a year of SiriusXM, and the dealership just forwarded all my info to the connected parties. So yeah brah, that would be totally smart to like, give a fake number to the dealership when I'm buying my car. Heck, maybe I should go even further and not even purchase the car under my real name! Yeah lemme just order a fake ID and do some pdf editing on my insurance card, THEN SiriusXM will never be able to contact me.

Thanks for the tip!

With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.
Yeah they could almost get me to pay them to never contact me.

My exact complaint. I don't need or want a dj. I don't care that they saw the band they are playing in concert, nor news about the band. Went can't they just play music non stop
Isn't that the truth. I pay Sirius for music and pay a royalty fee. I do not need to listen to a dj. I can listen to local fm radio for that. Not only that but the djs on Sirius have a way of basically inserting commercials by pushing a bands concerts and albums.

Don't even bother. Canceling with them is a hassle. Took over an hour to cancel with them over the phone. There is no other way to cancel either!

Ah, SiriusXM. Lifetime subscriber, and constantly disappointed over the years. I usually have to go to the app for consistent play, because of somehow not getting a signal for various reasons.

As far as content goes I only really listen to the 103/Faction Talk for Jim & Sam, Ron Bennington, and the Bonfire, now. Most of the other shows they've canceled over the years to pay for Howard, I guess, and I find the music service is better on spotify or youtube/google music.

Cant recommend it, to be honest, but the holiday stations are nice, once-a-year. 😌

For this promotion no credit card is required so you don't even have to cancel. It just goes away at the end of promotion.
