Yeahhhh, going to hard pass. Took forever to get Sirus to leave me alone after I got a free trial with a new vehicle.

Just an update, they are now leaving me voicemails, claiming I have a balance, and will be sent to collections. Note that I did not agree to a subscription, and I did not put a card on file. So you are not safe from this, just by refusing to put a card on file. The number they give does not work. You go through the whole process with the automatic teller and then it hangs up on you. When I attempt to access my online account has a forest pop-up screen that will only allow you to pay so you can't navigate anywhere. Zero out of five stars would highly recommend not playing with these offers.

I have a serious question that I'd like everyone to answer, do people actually use SiriusXM? Because Spotify is so easy to use.

I only use it in my car because commercial free and has decent electronic stations. Usually when I'm driving, it's been much shorter distances that putting something on isn't worth it.

I will say, I only use it because I'm a free trial rinse and repeat. Otherwise would not pay for the subscription.

I want to meet someone that actually pays for it. I don't know how that company stayed in business for so long.

You know if it was in the 3-5 a month category and had less fluff channels and more music I'd probably just pay the cost. But I feel like it's an older generation that don't know how to Bluetooth stream the content they want.

Or Howard Stern...

I renew it for my daughter every year. She has Spotify too so honestly don't know why she needs both. I ask and she says she still uses it so...
At least when I renew I don't even have to bargain with them anymore. They just ask do you still want the same $5/month promo plan and that's that.
One improvement they've made is you can "rewind" to the beginning of a song if you change to the station in the middle of it. That was always my biggest complaint about SiriusXM back in the day. I was constantly changing stations trying to find a song I liked. So I agree, why not just use Spotify unless you like SiriusXM's original content (like Stern).
I got it with my new car and didn't use it once during the free trial.

I've had a Spotify family subscription for a number of years. Recently did the free trial of SiriusXM and wound up subscribing for $6/month for the full platinum package (that includes taxes/fees). Wife likes the channels that Sirius provides in the car and is easier for her to cycle through them on the radio. Most of my Sirius listening is via the app, occasionally listen to Howard and and switch between the various channels which I prefer over what's on Spotify channel-wise. I use Spotify for when I want to select specific albums/tracks to listen to.
