TOO damm EXPENSIVE JUST FOR A Radio service. Sirius cost more than amazon's all-out benefits.

$50 price a year should be ideal and I bet everyone will sign up for it. they should do this for about a year and then increase a little to get momentum and more subscribers who will be hooked to its year of $ 50 a year

With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.
Yea Sirius is shit and surprised they haven't gone bankrupt yet

Why can't they cut down on the channels and increase the bitrate. The audio quality is almost unlistenable.

The real hero is the guy at the company who negotiated the contract with manufactures to add their service by default and farm leads and solicitations from customers.

Without that, Sirius would never survive.

Worked for me! I will try this cancel in 3 months and get 3 free again method.
Granted this is on my wife's car. I pay for the service (4.95/month for the last 2 years) on my car.
I dig it.

Unfortunately, your trial or paid subscription recently ended and your radio is ineligible for a trial subscription.

i would never do anything with sirius, even using a fake address. they are crazy. i've received so many pieces of junk mail, emails, and phone calls from them trying to get me to sign up for service that i've vowed to never turn on anything ever again, even if free.

What phone # is shown when Sirius XM calls you to sign up? I normally don't answer calls I don't recognize, but it would be nice to know which one is from SXM so then I could block that # from my phone.

I subscribed for trial last time. Never listened and forgot. Later, i saw an email saying that they could not charge my card (i got a new card). The same day, i went and canceled the service. Then, they sent the email below. They are charging even for canceling the service. May be they send it to collection too. Just beware.

"An invoice will arrive in your mailbox in the next few days. As a reminder, all invoices are subject to an invoice administration fee, except where prohibited. The invoice administration fee is currently $2.00 per invoice and will be added to the total charges above. If paying by check, please send payment to:Sirius XM Radio Inc.P.O. Box 71170Philadelphia PA 19176-1170"

Same thing happened to me. I was on the trial offer and kept recieving calls. One day I recieved a call, i took the time to listen. They offered me a deal for a 6 month period. I told them I still wasnt sure, and that I would look it over and decide in the future. The associate took it upon themselves to "email me the information" which was actually a future invoice. When I called near the end of my trial, they told me I had agreed to a 6 month extension. Took over 30 minutes dealing with them to cancel what was still a free trial.. Then they charged me a fee of around $10. Ive since told them to shove it, the service, its left leaning jockeys, and numerous commercials.

I use the local time and temp number so if they try to call all they get is a recording. Works like a charm for the last several years

I got a year free when I bought my wife her Honda van in 2018. We've had it ever since and never paid more than $7 a month. I paid $5 a month for year 2 and 3 and then it went up a little bit to $7. I'm on the plan that actually costs $20 but I just call and threaten to leave every time my promo runs out and suddenly they find me a new discount for another year. I'm paid up till June right now and I'll negotiate again when it comes time.

Use fake name, make up new email address (10minutemail etc are blocked), commercial business address and then random phone number to that business area code and you will get 3 months for free up to twice a year with the same radioID/vin without having any mail, phone calls etc to bother you.

I just got another letter from Sirius XM saying that my free trial will expire next month. I wonder how many trees they've killed just spamming me over the years. Multiply that by millions of customers across the country. EEK!
