if your specific use requires more than 8, fine, but most people using a laptop for everyday uses don't need more than 8, and won't for some time to come.
EDIT: should clarify with tech support though, typically onboard RAM can't be augmented.

Makes sense considering refurbished XPS 13 4K screen units are selling for over $1,000 on sell outlet.
Hey, I got a new replacement and got the 3nd laptop, this time the screen is more yellow tint, comparing to the first one. Dell has the worst quality control ever, or this batch has all the defective 4k UHD screen. Dell is doing a good job at destroying their company. 🤭
Quick thought, is the "night light" switch turned on to eliminate the blue light ? That's where the yellow could be coming from
Nothing to do with the night light , the screen is oversaturated yellow. It is not white like my Asus monitor. Your laptop screen probably is oversaturated aswell, maybe you haven't noticed it. I can tell that all the laptops from this batch are defective.
My screen looks great, you can see the yellow tinge with the night light on and the bright blue light when it's turned off.
Let me know if there is a test I can do or a program to use that can tune it. I do however have HDR turned off.

Why did you reorder? It is not worth 1k for this laptop, the dell outlet dell xps 9310 is much worth the price for 1k.

I forgot to add spill protection
If you extend or upgrade your warranty AFTER your purchase it's much more expensive. I was offered $100 Dell Visa Gift Card and $375 ( I m pretty sure that was the total) for two years and it starts the same day you upgrade/extend.
I m not seeing the $1,0xx model but now scratch and dent $1,168
