Energier Max 12 Pack D Batteries $6.85 ( 2021/2022 Expire )

PLEASE READ FOR DETAILS

This post pricing is for the Energizer Max 12 pack of D batteries. The reduced price is for packs that have an earlier expire date located under the 'New & Open Box' section.

The provided link is for the product information on Amazon, you will need to choose the 'New & Open Box' option to see the pricing of $6.85. Currently there are 3 options at time of post, each with a different expire date, but all the same $6.85 pricing. One states an expire date of 2031, but I will assume that it is supposed to mean 2021.

Options w/ dates of expire. Again, I will assume the 2031 dates are supposed to be 2021

It's almost June, so these have 7-9 months until expiration. Will they still be good? Probably... but there is also a possibility of them already being below optimal voltage.

I just received mine and chose the Feb/2022 ones. The expiration on them are actually 12/2031. As for how long they last, I'm replacing reg Energizer batteries on a portable fan that expired in 2007 and they still power it! It's crazy that it's 14 yrs after expiration and the 4 batteries that have been in the unit still have juice and also none of them leaked. This fan has been in my garage for 10+ yrs in TX heat. I tested the output on the new ones and they output 1.85 volts.. the old batteries came in at 8.5-9.5 volts.

Oh wow, ya then that is a very low output then compared to the old ones. Geeze.
