I have a couple of these and they're okay. I wouldn't consider nearly $40 a slick deal by any means though. The last time I bought one they were around $27.
I own damn near every 20v and 60v tool DeWalt makes and while I love almost all of them, my Rigid flashlight is the one I grab 10 out of 10 times.
This doesn't seem like a great price. I've gotten the DCL043 (MUCH brighter) for $45 and DCL050 (more dispersed beam) for $39 on previous deals. The DCL040 isn't particularly bright and I think mostly exists as a cheap filler to get the 'tool' count up on combo kits. The best it has going for it is it will last forever on a 5 Ah battery. Amazon is tricky in that they list the DCL043 and DCL040 on the same page and most of the good reviews are for the more powerful DCL043.
