I see LG WM3900HBA | DLEX3900B electric washer and dryer combo on sale black color for 1499.99 plus taxes. It includes Free Delivery, Basic Installation and Haul Away Included in Most Areas* and worry free costco return policy.

Though its a discontinued model currently sold by costco, its pretty much same as 4000 model that's replaced 3900's.

Samsung 6300 is also on sale (Champagne) for $100 less but Lg looks a better buy for bucks.

It has an app where it notifies you when the load is running or finish.

Also, you can remote start the washer or dryer. Good if you are on electric TOU rate plans
Great deal. This washer was #1 recommended by Consumer Reports last I checked.

Gas model dryer on sale as well, $100 more than electric.

Your laundry area will dictate which type of dryer you should use. If you have a gas hook-up, go with that. Electric needs 220V. Running either a new 220V or a gas line is expensive so go with whichever is in place.

If I read the manual of my dryer (LG 3900) correctly you can download cycles that are different from those built into the unit.
Ok, I guess I can understand the OTA angle. But still, who's clamoring for 98 more wash cycles on a washer? But I get it. Thanks

I'm in the market for washer/dryer. In general, which is more preferred, gas or electric? This seems like a good deal but I don't have context for comparison.
Depends, we live in the desert and our AC electric bill is already high so a gas dryer is much more efficiency with our electric bill (at leas in the spring summer and fall)

As an example:
on the 3900 dryer there are two + and two - steps both for dryness level and drying temperature.
If you set the dryness level one up from the normal (middle) level, it automatically raises the drying temp by one, and you cannot change that. I'd like to dry to a level one up, but w/o raising the temp.

How does this set compare to this LG set that also went on sale today, from a performance and reliability perspective?

The one I linked to below just went on sale on Costco today and has an additional cubic foot of capacity for the washer, although some reviewers say it is hard to reach the bottom of the washer because it is so large.

I have the washer and dryer. They're great. Wish I had the pedestals though...

I am debating over front-load Or top-load, as top-load doesn't need pedestals. I don't want to spend extra $500 on pedestals.

We just got the LG top loading washer and gas dryer.. heard it's alot less likely to have problems than front loading.

Had top load, went to front load. Love front load more. Would love even more with pedestals. I'd build my own, but damn wood is expensive these days.

Anyone find any answers on whether the top load is better than the front load? Tough decision here!

What's the difference between this one and this one that was on sale last week for $1499 other than top load vs front load of course?

I am also curious. I guess because white matches the wall color? idk

White makes a room look bigger/brighter. So if you go to sell your home, it adds the slightest touch.
