It has an app where it notifies you when the load is running or finish.

Also, you can remote start the washer or dryer. Good if you are on electric TOU rate plans

Great deal. This washer was #1 recommended by Consumer Reports last I checked.

Gas model dryer on sale as well, $100 more than electric.

Your laundry area will dictate which type of dryer you should use. If you have a gas hook-up, go with that. Electric needs 220V. Running either a new 220V or a gas line is expensive so go with whichever is in place.

Big benefit to me of the side load it no constant out of balance with big loads like comforters. Wife is always washing the bedding because she lets the dirty dogs on the bed.

Do these newer LG front load washers turn on and off the HOT water valve very quickly (like 5 times in 20 seconds or so) at the start of a cycle, even when doing cold water washes? My ~15 year old LG front load washer does this and it causes water hammer in my pipes. I install water hammer arrestors on the valves but they usually don't last more than a year or two. I have a tankless water heater and I can hear it go on and off for every couple of seconds during the start of every wash cycle. I end up usually turning on a nearby hot water faucet for 30 seconds every time I start a load. I'm looking for a new set but if LG washers still do this, I'll have to look at other brands. Thanks!

Yeah any insight on this would be helpful. I'm in NY and the last time I bought a dryer at Lowe's they installed it but I remember I had to buy a separate gas kit

My 2 years and 2 months old top of the line samsung front loader just died on me last week. Both circuit boards are dead. The technician said it is not worth repair since it will cost as much as the new one. I am done

and you think that has never happened with an LG washer? shit happens. Samsung is one of the greatest names in all of tech. Everything I ever owned that was Samsung has been top notch and has not broken down. From Phones to TVs to Microwaves, Refrigerators and yes, Washers.

Anecdotally I've heard more bad about Samsung than LG. But that doesn't make it true. Have to actually read reviews and do research on the model you want. 🤷 ♂️

Does your Samsung fridge have an ice maker? They are so bad that there is a class action lawsuit about them. If I didn't have the extended warranty, mine would be scrap metal. Koreans should stick to BBQ and kimchi.
