Once you experience and OLED, it's hard to go back. I bought the 65" A8H last year, and I want to get a 77" OLED for my future gaming room.

Nice. It's about time for some deals. Is it really worth it or the lg cx for 2800? Decisions decisions. I'm not a gamer and I like the Sony a80j but the current price is 3500 on sale.

IMO.

It's true. I saw the Sony a80j and looks amazing. I think Sony is better then lg when it comes to movies/sports/ tv shows.

I wholeheartedly agree. If the A80J/A90J offered the same gaming features, I would save up and get that instead. It's wouldn't make sense for me to spend more money for less features. Once Sony gets their SOC issues sorted with MediaTek or whoever makes the next one, maybe all of their ports will be HDMI 2.1 with ALM, VRR and 4K120.

I heard that Sony only has 2 2.1 hdmi. I don't game so for me it doesn't really matter. Lg people always gang up on me and say how good it is and go with lg. But I had both and stuck w the Sony for bedrooms. But they bring up ratings review. I say I don't care. It my eyes and I saw both TVs in same spots same cables and same programs.

Who is the seller? Buy dig is an authorised dealer. Might be more helpful with warranty if anything should arise in future.

I prefer the motion handling and processing of the Sony OLED. It's true that Sony only has 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs on select 2020 models, and 2021 models. They only support 4K 120. VRR and ALM isn't supported. If you set your HDMI to game mode then ALM shouldn't matter. I could be wrong.

For the longest time, it's the following has been true. If you primarily watch movies and TV shows, go with the Sony OLED. If you game at all and want the best gaming features, go with the LG OLED. More people will go with the CX/C1 since it's cheaper than the A80J or A90J, and it provides more value.

OLEDs aren't perfect, but it truly depends on what you're looking for in a TV.

True. The a90j 83 inches will be over 7k. Lol. Way too much to spend on a tv. I want to be at 3k. Now lg is less but I'm not sold on it.

I got the on sale 77A80j and it IS worth it. I'm coming from a 65 KS8000 Samsung, and it's a world of difference. I can't speak for the CX, but I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Agreed. The A90J is way out of my price range. I'm curious to see how low it gets before it's phased out. We'll see some time next year.
