From the website: Delivery, Basic Installation and Haul Away Included in Most Areas*
Installation may require a secondary appointment.

You have to add to cart and check that your zip code is correct, and when you view item in cart it will tell you what's included with the purchase.

It is but it was going to take me 2 months for it to be installed by their local installer. I installed it myself and got $200 credit.

One has controls on the front and tje other has them on the top of the door so they’re hidden when it’s closed.

The major difference between the two is the drying system. The 979 one (604) has a dry cycle called ProDry which uses a heating element and a fan to dry the dishes. The 799 one (404) heats the water and air in the system to dry the dishes only. The 604 also has 1-24 hour delay to run the cycles, whereas the 604 has 2/4/8 hour delays. One other minor difference is the number of stemware plastic attachments on the side of the 2nd row. The 604 has 4 of these, the 404 only has two.

Generally the 604 will do a better job of drying plastic items. The 404 uses the same system that a lot of other dishwashers already use, and is perfectly adequate to dry dishes which can be heated to dry (like ceramic or glass).

Some people prefer the 404 because there are less parts that can break.

You can read more about the differences here: https://www.brayandscarff.com/blog/dishwashers-kitchenaid-404-vs-604/

Bought the 404 the last time it went on sale for $759 (front page deal) after holding out for a Bosch forever. I have been extremely pleased with both the performance and the quietness. The 3rd rack is actually useful and takes a lot of cups and glasses, leaving valuable room for other items. Middle rack is also adjustable and allows for bigger pots and pans to fit into the bottom rack.

This is a new generation of Kitchenaid dishwashers, nothing like the crap they used to sell. I know this for a fact because this replaced a piece-of-junk Kitchenaid I previously had which was horrible every which way. I was very skeptical buying another KA dw but bit the bullet given the many favorable reviews. And ZERO regrets.
This is a great deal, for comparison, the $800-100 model sells for $989 at best buy, $1100 at home depot. Same for the fancier models.
Samsung is bad in appliances..

Anyone know if you don't keep your Costco membership for the life of the costco warranty, do you still get coverage? The regular warranty or the extended you would get with a costco credit card? The card would also be cancelled when you quit costco, so would you keep the extended warranty?

I've had this washer (black stainless) since January. Works great. 3rd rack is actually useful.

Long term durability is obviously unknown but its not an LG or Samsung.

I've had my eye on this dishwasher for a while, and a Slickdeal alert going since March.

This is $300 less than Home Depot and Lowes. I have both of those where I live, but no Costco. Has anyone had success getting either of those to price match Costco's? I'm not a Costco member, but for the $60 membership fee, I'm still saving a decent amount of money if I join just for this dishwasher. But I'd love to price match locally if possible.
