Been this price at NJ Costco locations for months so not really a great deal. Overpriced for MSRP. To the other commenters about Joule - yes. It's definitely better, but the wifii can be finicky.
If you need a container, you are better off purchasing a coleman 24 can cooler on AMZ for $30 and modify it to insert the sous vide appliance. maintains temp easily, and flexible size. I have tried many different sous vide units, Joule, Anova, Monoprice, and all have heated/circulated water just fine. if you use sous vide at extremes, then you will want to watch wattage and max circulation capabilities ( such as 5 gallon limit) for larger cooks. This isnt the norm for most people though.
This isn't a great deal, but my anova one took a crap this week after like 6 years and 1,000 cooks. Since it's outside of warranty and discontinued, they don't repair it, and only offer you a $25 discount off retail on a replacement.
Pretty bad customer service considering they have better deals than that on BF.
I was going to move to joule, a brand with better customer service, but since I'm covered by Costco, I went ahead and got one.
I have a Joule and an Anova. While I agree that the Joule looks nicer, heats faster, is quieter, and uses less water, I use the Anova MUCH more often because I can just set it manually in 2 seconds. The Joule requires you to use their app for it to work, while it's just an additional option for the Anova.
That being said, I understand the irony of being unwilling to wait 60 seconds to program the cooker through an app so I can wait 1-2 hours for it to cook...

Great Sous Vide over all.
If you enjoy properly cooked meat that is tender and juicy, this is the way to cook it.
