Can someone tell me how this WiFi 5 set claims to support 100 devices, but the $400 orbi WiFi 6 set at Costco only supports 40? Are those numbers accurate?

Yeah, this set, the Orbi or a ASUS AX5700?!

Yeah, I know, the Asus is not a mesh.

I have the orbi RBK50 and love it. Bought it used and bought another set a few years later when we moved into our larger home. Brand new they are much more expensive than this set so its not apples to apples (AC2200 vs AC3000). I have heard good things about this setup tho. If it doesnt work, u can always return to costco no hassle. Pretty cool that this has a zigbee/zwave hub in them tho if u have any use for that. This, like the orbi, look to have wired backhaul which is also nice.

Dedicated 3rd band backhaul sets this one apart.

I have 1000mbps internet, will this get me those advertised speeds? My current router gives me 1000 via ethernet and around 500 on wifi being about 20 ft away through walls.
