I wish these sets would stop including any 12pt sockets because those easily round off rusty/siezed/weak bolts due to their inherently flawed design since they only grip at the tips of each point rather than the entire flat surface of all 6 faces. The main reason 12pt sockets were invented was because the old ratcheting mechanisms used to only engage every 60 degrees or even every 90 degrees, so when you're trying to tighten/loosen a bolt in a tight space where you can only swing the handle 30 degrees then you'd have to use a 12pt socket to allow you to make the ratchet work. Now all ratchets engage every 5 degrees or less so there is literally no need for 12pt sockets anymore!
I have this set and it has been great. The only thing really missing are longer ratchet extension adapters.
It is hard to beat considering the price/ lifetime warranty.
I will test the lifetime warranty today since I broke a ratchet.
Too many screw driver bits and hex fillers on this one. I'll wait for the 192 Dewalt set.

Just spoke to home depot (Husky) they said the "Lifetime" warranty requires a receipt. So take a picture and back it up. I would suggest using a service like google drive for things like this so you can have access on any future mobile devices.

I brought back a Husky 160 piece set to HD for lifetime warranty replacement without a receipt after a few years of use without a problem. Just bring the old tool to the service desk and tell them you need a replacement.

The DeWalt has 0 combination wrenches and the Husky has 10 wrenches. Wrenches are important for tight spots, pass through and for tightening ratchet on the bolt and combination wrench on the nut together at same time like exhaust job. The DeWalt has 28 standard hex keys and the Husky has 20 short arm and 20 long arm hex keys. DeWalt has hex sockets and more extensions. DeWalt has no screwdriver and bits at all. Nothing. Warranty and tool exchange program? I am a DeWalt fan and I have a rolling pouch of wrenches but I do like some combination wrenches and a screw driver in a tool set.
This tool box design is awesome. The old briefcase flat style where sockets would fall out really wasn't a great design.
This is definitely a step better, but there's a lot of customer feedback critical of the fact that the drawers tend open when attempting to carry the case.
I just returned the ratchet with no receipt.
I went to customer service and told them it was broken. I was told to go grab a new tool and bring it back. service rep scanned the new tool, kept the old tool and then just gave me the new one.

Thanks for confirming that I made the right decision to wait for the Dewalt set.

Actually ordered this one, but got the indefinitely backordered email. Guess I'm also waiting for the DeWalt 192! 😹

No HDMI? Hard pass.
Yeah, must be junk if they are offering that kind of warranty. You mad?
