i was looking into this was as well. it seems to be a sportsman exclusive. there's not much info online on this STXS model. Don't forget to add the 10% coupon code for creating and account and getting on their mailing list.

Picked this up this week. I've been happy with it so far. Hopefully Sportsman's will do a price adjustment
It looks like camp chef sales a budget model that's a store exclusive to several retailers (Rural king has a different 24" model for $299, but I've haven't been able to find it in stock).
This one doesn't seem to have the pellet chute and looks to have cheaper legs. The rural king model has different legs and a different controller, but i can't tell whether it has a pellet chute.

It is probably identical to the STX. It's like the SG & ZG (Dick's version of the SG). They are almost identical with some minor differences.
That being said, this is a very basic entry level unit. If you are serious about getting a smoker and not using this as a short term stepping stone into the pellet smoking game, you may want to consider holding off until another deal on a better model, especially one with one of the new PID controllers (even if its not the Wifi version).

is the 24 inch model big enough? any reason to go with the 30 inch instead?
