"Breville has halogen filaments and splash shields around the filaments"

My last toaster oven had those, too, and I hesitated before buying the Toshiba because it didn't.

But I've found that the plain resistance elements heat about as quickly.

And the splash shields and halogen elements collect nastiness that is impossible to clean. The resistance elements wipe right off.
I bought this from Walmart.com in January. The quality is high and we use it all the time.
PS. Re. Air Fry:

I really can't tell the difference between the convection mode on the Toshiba and the air-fry mode on my oven when I use an air-fry basket in the Toshiba.

Can anyone comment on the quality of this? I don't trust Amazon reviews.

My big oven/stove stopped working, and my current toaster oven is too small to really cook meals in it. So I've been looking for another toaster oven or countertop oven to do me until I can get another regular oven/stove put in. Wonder if this would work?

Is this easy enough to use that a grandma could use it

This looks like a pretty direct knockoff of the breville smart oven - I wonder how it compares.

My Breville has a convection fan which I don't see on this one, but I rarely use it. It looks pretty comparable.

I have the model from Amazon and it is excellent.

It does have a convection fan.

I do not own the Breville, but I've worked with one, and this is as close to it as something that costs a quarter as much can be.

Highly recommended.

This still pales in comparison against the breville. Don't be fooled by appearances and basic functions.

Breville has halogen filaments and splash shields around the filaments and this has the typical electric resistance type (forgot what they are called) that creates a hotspot and not as radiant.

We have this unit and it is far better than expected. We actually burned several things before we figured out the temp and time are dead on. We were adjusted to our old air fryer that took 30% longer than it should have to cook.
