Would not go back to nest since google bought it out.Nothing but problems
I haven't had a single problem with it ever that wasn't my fault, and the only true issue I had was not having a C wire initially, which I would definitely 100% tell people that if they don't have it, get it, or else don't use the Nest, because having it syphon power from the other wires isn't going to work for shit.

Hanes you are saying so many untruths.I have owned all three brands and the eccbee is better in a lot of ways it has a touch screen and is compatible with more smart services the the nest. And depending on which Honeywell you buy there is one that is all ways on the list for best thermostats.z

did you consider the ecobee at all? if so - what made you choose the nest instead?

Are we required to install with the instant rebate? Will they find out if I just resell it? Thanks

Agree as well. While I am tech savvy my family is the complete opposite. I've had the opportunity to install 15-20 of these smart thermostats in various family and friend homes. Nothing is as intuitive or easy to understand as the Nest. Currently in my apartment I have the Ecobee 3 Lite which I got for free from Evergy in return for signing up for the program. Everyone raves about the Ecobee being a good alternative but I personally found it clunky and harder to understand than the Nest. It does the job but I think the Nest is miles better in terms of design.

And now that Nest is getting HomeKit I see no reason for not going with Nest unless you really need the additional occupancy sensors which are really useful for larger homes

I had never head of the Johnson Glas but that thing looks sleek as hell.
