Looks like a good deal, I'm not using bladehq anymore after their data breach a couple of months ago, I don't feel they did a very good job of informing or offering help/solutions. Just an FYI if you've never bought from them before, I would want to be informed. The info isn't on the website that I saw, but if you google bladehq databreach there is a lot of info.

I am thrilled and surprised this thread is full of positive conversation, and not "what can this do that my five dollar Ozark Trail can't."
I like Benchmade, and if I had spare knife money right now, I'd be tempted. Thanks, OP.

I looked into them and read that they're more rigid than the plastic scales, but do flex some.

The biggest warning I'd have for anyone is that the springs aren't reliable from any Benchmade. I've tried my luck numerous times and it's not been fun. Some people sell third party springs for them, oddly enough, so keep it in mind.

I don't doubt the omega springs can eventually break. That being said I own 8 and have given a few as gifts and none of them had any issues with the omega spring. I don't fidget with them or open them hard so idk if thats why I haven't had any issues.

I got a mini Bugout with Grivory scales for Christmas and I was surprised by how much I like it. There wasn't any flex in the scale due to the smaller proportions.

One spring failed in mine in a month, and the other failed a month later. BTW, I don't flip, only opening and closing normally. The omega springs are particularly weak in the Bugout since it is way too thin.

So many nice knifes out there right now, I picked up a Bugout and a Hogue Deka a few months back - the Bugout went back as I was so impressed with the Deka, especially for the price.
