I've owned this monitor for about two weeks now. Best Buy had it for this price not too long ago. If you are looking for a gaming monitor to pair with the new generation Xbox, this is about as good as it gets. I have the Xbox S, so technically the 1080p is being upscaled to 1440p, but it still looks spectacular.
Perhaps I lucked out because I can't even find any IPS glow in my dimly office. The colors are vibrant and the responsiveness is immediate. I play Warzone primarily and could not be happier. The Build is completely solid with a Great balance between a Conservative Design/ and a Gamer style. For Sub 400, you cannot go wrong.

And oh yeah, I've been a slick deals creeper for about 10 years without ever posting. So be Gentle.

Is this a good deal? I'm in the market for a 27" 1440P monitor (was hoping for a curved screen though).

Tried 2 of these. It has below average contrast ratio and made dark areas in games look terrible. Dark areas looked gray with very little distinguishable details. Couldn't see jack shit in certain FPS games. Adjusting settings did very little to help things simply because the screen can't produce a decent contrast ratio. Black equalizer just made everything a lighter shade of gray and washed out the rest of the colors. Upping game brightness produced a similar result. I know IPS is known for this but the M27Q that replaced it completely blows it out of the water in contrast. The dell and the LGs it shares the display with all suck with contrast.

Really wanted to like it, but its overrated for gaming, IMO. You can't have good image quality without at least mediocre contrast, IMO.

It was a great monitor for productivity though, once calibrated a bit better. But I had to return because gaming on it was worse than the 1080p TN it replaced.

Got the M27Q and I like it a lot more for gaming. I can see! Yeah its not perfect either with the BGR and text issue, but its fixable in most applications and the contrast ratio and price makes up for it.

How does it compare to the $299 Acer Nitro XV272U in Micro Center?

rtings gave Acer a pretty good score:

ACER wins.

Should I cancel my GIGABYTE G27Q (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 [amazon.com]) for this?
If you can afford it, yes I would. G27Q doesn't use RGB colors so it takes a lonnnggg time to get use to it.

I think you can get the 32" with the same specs for around this price when it's on sale, right? (S3220DGF)
That one is a VA panel.

I have the S2721DGF, upgraded from S2719DG. I love it! IPS makes a huge difference!

I love this monitor. Bought it for $465 and don't even regret it.

I did quite a bit of research on 1440p 144hz+ gsync compatible monitors and this one stood out for me. Great independent reviews. Best in class response (important if you play FPS games), excellent overdrive across a variable refresh rate (to prevent ghosting and overshoot), amazing warranty.

Contrast isn't the best but at this price point for a gaming IPS monitor, the reviews I read said it didn't get much better. I've personally been pleased with the contrast. I have no issues with any gaming dark or light in a dimly lit basement.

The colors are a bit over saturated which takes some getting used to coming from a TN monitor. I tinkered with it a little and really happy with how it came out. Now that I'm used to it, I'd describe the colors as rich.

No regrets at all on this purchase.

Do you know how favorable the monitor is having USB C instead of HDMI? I heard you can charge your laptop through the monitor which is a plus but I am not sure how useful the benefit is and if there are any other advantages.
