Consumer Reports ain't what it used to be! If you want detailed product reviews it forces you to additionally purchase the online subscription to get that information which is quite often outdated with discontinued products.
It has become an activist magazine and no longer focuses on independent, unbiased product comparisons.

Beauty is subjective. Chinese are very nationalist and they'd rather embrace a local actor than a Chinese born Canadian actor (he moved to Canada when he was 5). He is accused of ignoring Chinese authenticity and and his movies are too "westernized". He is disliked in China , Taiwan and HK alike.
