Has anyone who has prime and W+ found the W+ to be better than prime? It's nice that there's competition for amazon, but it also gets costly if you don't use both regularly (which we don't at this point).
We use w+ for grocery delivery. No markup like Instacart and not hugely overpriced like Whole Foods. We still use our prime membership for a lot of things.

Tipping is never required unless you have a large party at a restaurant. If you don't have a conscience or care about the fact that drivers are literally destroying their cars so you don't have to, then don't tip. Be that person.

People go to restaurants and tip $20+ on large tabs. But delivery drivers who are actually using their own vehicles and gas rarely get over $10 for large orders. I'll never understand why people hate delivery drivers so much.
Because they dont trust them and are pretty sure they are flatulating around and on their food.

MyPoints has cycling offers of up to 17,500 points after a year membership posts which fully covers the fee cash in the points for gift cards. It dips up and down between 5000 and 17500. Use Chase offer and you come out about $10 ahead. DOSH rebated another $14 and I came out nearly $25 ahead.
Hey, I did signup using my points but I was setup on a trial and the card will charge in a couple of days, would I still get the cashback or should I cancel and do it again!

Walmart+ shipping has been superior to Amazon Prime these days from my experience. Ever since COVID Amazon takes their time sending orders out. Now it takes almost a full week to receive things that are supposed to have prime shipping where it used to come in 1-2 days. .
Not my experience. Sometimes I even get things delivered same day or next day with my free prime shipping option.

so he only deserved a $8 tip for serving that $1000 meal?
I'd say 'nice dodge' but its not even one.

It was a rhetorical question.

The Denny's guy deserves more, and the fancy restaurant server deserves less. Fact. End of discussion.

How could that possibly be accomplished though? you ask...

Get rid of tipping, and pay a fair wage.

The fancy server can make a few bucks more an hour because maybe he/she has some extra skill/knowledge/experience that adds value. 10X the skill though? No. Not even close.

Quit being elitist.

Like UPS and FedEx. We don't tip them.
They don't use their own vehicles or gas

Thank you for posting this! We've been having the same issues with Prime too. We live 2 hours from the fulfillment center, and Amazon is still taking a week to reach is.

Shouldn't we start tipping Walmart cashiers? At least they provide personal interaction.

Tipping has to go. Money isn't magically generated. Raise prices. Raise wages. Get rid of the damn ridiculousness.

The exact same money changes hands in the end and service quality won't suffer. In all liklihood it'll become more pleasant for everyone. No wondering for a server/delivery person how big a tip (or not) they'll get. No sighs from the customer figuring out what is appropriate to leave.

If a server needs 'incentive' to do a job, fire them and hire one that will do a good job. This is how it works in just about every other job in the world.
Yes tipping should be eliminated. Employers should be paying a livable wage and not rely on customers to pay their employees wage in tips. Most of the world doesn't tip.

There is price, value and quality. Some items maybe are expensive from Whole Foods ( subject to debate ), but quality and experience makes it a great value, at least for my family. Walmart can't come close to Whole Foods when it comes organic selection and fresh produce. We are not eating price, we are eating food

Can't agree with you more! As customers we pay sales taxes, membership fees and tips, it adds up. Your $100 grocery becomes $130. I understand most employees use their own gas, insurance and car ( I am not blaming employees here ). This is how employers and big corps are exploiting labor of working class Americans. And most of the time these people don't even get company benefits since they are contractors. This needs to stop!

As I mentioned before. I sell cars for living. In order to sell a car a day, I have to see 4 customers. 25% is industry accepted closing ratio. So I spend hours with other three customers knowing that I won't sell. It's exhausting to explain features, build a value, go on test-drives and put everything together. Do I deserve tip? This applies to any job and industry. Whether you are mechanic or a doctor

I like W+, but I'm also a Sam's club member. I only use Sam's for fuel. Guess no Sam's renewal for me.

Too much banter. So do you have to tip on the delivery or not?

Wish I could get that on my Walmart+ renewal. Doesn't seem to work if you already are a member
