Note that when Direct Tools has these % off everything sales, the prices revert to the original price of the item. In other words, the 20% doesn't stack with previously discounted prices.

This is a great deal if the tool you're looking for doesn't typically go on sale, however many of their items are routinely on sale for more than 20% off - so it pays to watch (or search slickdeals) to know if the item you are looking at is actually a good deal with this sale or not.

Shipping is $7 flat rate. Whether you get one item or ten, shipping will only be $7.

There are plenty of tools that are just "ok" on price right now. But I believe in your specific case you were looking at the "factory reconditioned" tool (which is now on sale for $31.99) but now are looking at the "factory blemished" tool at the $47.99 price you mentioned.

Sorry, you are correct. The blemished was $49.99 prior to the sale though. I have been watching both for awhile.

No, I believe you were correct with the blemished Ryobi P721 was $37.99 .... I almost bought it for the batteries and charger delivered from HD ($49.50) for another set, but at $44.99 delivered, decided to wait for another HD deal with batteries, charger, light and bag.... like the last deal for $99. The 2-4amp, charger and light all fit in that bag for portability.

i got excited until I went to the site and everything decent is out of stock, every other item I have been watching JUMPED in price.

I have bought several items from direct tools. The blemished items are in new condition and I have had good success with those. I purchased one factory refurb item (finish nailer) and used it about a month later after I received it. Found out it could not drive a 2 1/2" nail into the wood without the head sticking out, even with max pressure. Called them and found out that they only accept returns within 30 days, so now I need to take it to a Ryobi repair to get it fixed. Not worth the hassle and time to get something not working to save just a few bucks, so I will stick to only the blemished from now on.

Yes. I've made several orders with them including large items and it usually takes a week or two for them to ship, especially during one of their sales.

Its not normal. Other users reported having to call and email for a status update (fans) and then they send out a shipping notice
