I've had two of these monitors for a while now and (1) the ghosting at 144hz is so minor that you wonder if it's really ghosting or you're imagining it and (2) if you're really concerned, you can set the refresh rate to 120hz to eliminate ghosting concerns.

I picked this up last time it went on sale and it's a great monitor. I believe it's a rebranded Acer EI272UR Pbmiiipx 27", but I'm not 100% sure on that. It has a Samsung panel, V-Sync, and G-Sync compatibility.

"G-Sync compatibility" means that variable refresh rates are supported on Nvidia cards through drivers while the monitor does not contain the G-Sync module.

I heard ghosting is an issue with this monitor, your thoughts?

I'll post my default comment on these threads. Find the deal through target and use red card and target gift cards. There's also a separate Target support contact for monoprice sales if you have any problems. I got the 32 inch version closely resembling this model and have been pleased with it

G-Sync?! (I think you might be confusing G-Sync and FreeSync, G-Sync on this seems unlikely.)

With Nvidia now able to use Freesync technology, isn't the Gsync vs Freesynce argument trivial now?

I think he's been drinking.

Every monitor is V-Sync compatible, else no monitors would be locked to their refresh rate.

Did not know this, thanks. (From brief googling, as of the driver update that came out with the 2060, 10 series cards and newer "should" support variable refresh rate on FreeSync monitors)

Post above has a link to monitors that have been validated, this one doesn't seem to be on the list but "should" work.

A real gsync monitor is still better. Better response and wider range of the refresh rates available when matching the fps.
