Windows laptops with 8GB non-upgradable RAM need to disappear.

Seriously, 8gb soldered ram on a premium laptop? What the heck. It's a great looking deal if it had 16gb but no thanks. The ryzen 5700u looks capable but the lack of memory will definitely hold it back.

They printed like a numpad on the trackpad?? Look at the images, it looks awful.

It's not printed on the trackpad. It's a feature that lights up when you activate it. It illuminates from below the glass plate of the trackpad. This has been around for a while on some Asus laptops.

I'd love an FHD OLED in this size class, but 16:9 is a terrible aspect ratio for anything other than watching videos.

I won't go <16:10 on a laptop anymore and highly prefer 4:3.

8GB is indeed a cheap out. If it had a dGPU, the 8GB would be fine. An iGPU sucking 0.5 - 2GB of that memory starts to impact overall performance.

8GB ram for a productivity PC is kinda laughable when you think many smartphones have that much ram and more on some…

Does it say soldered on ram somewhere? I didn't see that in the specs.

FYI - Ryzen 5700u is only 4% faster than Ryzen 4700u [pcworld.com] :-(

That's one of the most idiotic information I have seen. You really need to read some reliable sources like Notebookcheck.net. Ryzen 7 5700U is basically a tweaked version of Ryzen 7 4800U, having SMT enabled, hence 8C/16T, Vega 8 Graphics, running at 200 MHz higher than Vega 8 in 4800U and it performs around 5% better than 4800U. It is over 16% in Multi-threaded performance and 5% over single threaded performance, over 4700U.
Start reading and may be the below review is a good starting point:

It's about time we see OLED laptops, but FHD? QHD would be my minimum required resolution at this price point.
