Unfortunately, prices are going up on everything....check out the price of a 2 x 4 if you haven't looked at one since last fall.

If you need a jack right now it's an okay deal but the Pittsburgh low pro 3ton is $99 right now which is basically the same jack. Not the deal of the century but probably the best deal going on a decent jack right now.

I am as well but they're also not directly comparable. This Daytona is a low profile that goes from 3 1/4" to 20" while the Arcan only goes from 4 to 18 1/2". Main thing is the Arcan is partially aluminum making it a bit under 60lbs. Given my situation, I'd be moving it around a fair bit, loading it in and out of my trunk, carrying it around between areas, so being able to shave 20-40 lbs would be pretty nice. Otherwise I'd be swooping up one of these or the renowned super duty daytonas

That said, I haven't heard/seen too much negative feedback on the HF floor jacks. The jack stands however...

The Daytona is HF premium brand, while the Pittsburgh is the base brand. It is suppose to have heavy duty wheels, better insides, etc. That being said, the Pittsburgh is probably the best jack for the money out there right now. I also posted that one https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/15058003.

I actually bought one of these Daytona. Online, HF only showed 1 of these Daytona in stock at my local store, but when I got to the store, they had a lot of all the colors and the Pittsburgh in the store. Local inventory obviously is not accurate.

I have been watching for the 3 ton Arcan to go on sale at Costco. Normally $180, so perhaps next sale is $150 or less?

However, I keep hearing how get these HF jacks are....

Picked one up last night in North Omaha. They had more than 20 stacked on the floor to the right when you walked in.

Dang, iirc, my Arcan was only like $110-125 at Costco when I bought it a few years back.

I live in an apartment on the 3rd floor. Is this thing too heavy to carry up and down occasionally?

Obviously that's up to your physical fitness, but it's nearly 80lbs (probably closer to 65 with the handle off) with no carry points so it won't be easy. Definitely look into a partially aluminum model if you need to carry it around a bit

Make sure you check the front wheels if they're level. I found out when I got home that only one of the wheels would touch the floor when rolling it. Maybe not a big issue

Get the one from Costco.
Seems like the ones from HF don't get QA'd. The one I got before had a defect where only one of the front wheels is touching the ground. Bad welding. Maybe open the box before you leave the store if you still prefer this brand.

Been trying to find the arcan at Costco too.

More important than anything for lowered cars is the total height of the unit allot of the time, half an inch height at the pad I can drive on a 2x4 but the 10th civic jack pad is so far back and the type r lip is not ramp friendly.

Anyone have a good ramp recommendation for lowered civics?

I got mine for $100 in 2019 with $20 instant rebate. $80 is real good deal for that jack.
