Thanks Captain Pedantry.
Nothing pedantic about it. Huge difference between 5 years and lifetime. In reality, these expire in a year. Is it pedantic to say a year supply is equivalent to a lifetime supply?

Picked up 3 cases at the end. Doesn't smell very good. In fact, smells kind of icky and toxic if you ask me. Maybe good for wiping the counters and floors.

My original post was tongue in cheek using the common exaggeration that when someone has a relatively large amount of something (in my case a couple bottles that I don't go through quickly since I don't use it much) it can be jokingly referred to as a lifetime supply. It's not to be taken literally. Sorry you didn't pick up on that.

Thanks for the "Well Ackshully" though.

This is the internet. There is no way to detect sarcasm or jokes unless you specify /s or something similar. In the future, please make your intentions more explicit.

Personally I believe you didnt understand these have expirations and really thought it would last you a lifetime. Which was actually an important comment as others probably thought the same. It helped others realize not to buy so many.

False comments are as important as accurate ones as long as people correct the false assertions. Similar to the guy who said he sold 10,000 units for $1 each and somehow profited $100,000. Was that considered an exaggeration too or do you think people just assume he's a moron?

What about when you are out and get back to your car? Do you have soap and water in your car?
For the last 30 years I've always simply washed my hands when I returned home. I never touch my fingers to my mouth, eyes, nose, or ears. If someone coughs or sneezes ... I walk the other way.

There's never been a pandemic in the last 30 years. Funny how people refer to how they've acted in the past when deciding upon actions during a once in a lifetime event. Not saying hand sanitizer is necessary for this event. But referring to your historic lifetime actions as a reason it is okay to continue those actions during a once in a lifetime event makes you look stubborn and uneducated.

I placed 2 different orders of 10 each and the store just placed 2 unopened cartons/packs for 20 each, essentially double of what I ordered. I am planning to donate most of these to my kids class when they return in fall.

This is false. Hand sanitizer has an expiration date. You only have a five year supply.
Maybe they only have 5 years to live?!

My doctor said that these methods are recommended for the flu prevention so go ahead and buy gallons of hand sanitizer and maybe wear 2 or 3 masks while you are at it as well.
