Just remember this is NOT a "gap factory outlet", it's a separate brand, called "Gap Factory". The quality is below even Old Navy, and will generally fall apart pretty quickly. If you're OK with this, then enjoy. Just know what you're buying, because they're REALLY trying to be deceptive about it. You are, by NO means, getting "Gap" quality, or Banana Republic quality, by shopping the "factory" site.

Same policy at Columbia. And you know these companies have an account with UPS or FedEx, so it wouldn't even cost them anything to issue return labels. They literally just do not care.

2nd anyone who states it's not GAP quality. However, I've bought both GAP factory and BR Factory BECAUSE I don't need them for heavy use. Between telework, holidays, and a 4/10 schedule I ended up in office maybe a hundred 50/60 something days a year. If you are in a similar situation (for casual/business casual), and like a specific piece, I think it's fine for limited use. I say limited because I have purchased regular BR and GAP and the clothes fit and feel better before and after wash. I've noticed factory items not holding the shape as well, fading quicker, loose threads, etc. I'm not a picky person but have the "athletic fit" issue where a wash or two could throw factory clothes off enough that they no longer fit thighs/calf comfortably. Just an FYI.

These pants become faded and wobbly after a wash. Bought it in the past and had to throw them away.

This is true, the color on these "bleeds", just like pens do.
If you put in light colored garments in the same wash with these they will take the color, even with a cold wash.

And I believe you mean "wobbly" as in "they will loose their original shape". I agree with this ONLY IF you put them in the dryer for a full drying cycle.
