I have the single version and the egg or cheese melts everywhere. The single version doesn't have a large base. Clean up is somewhat easy but i can't imagine having to clean up these two slot version with a base.

I'll never understand these time-saving cooking devices that take 10 times as long to clean as the amount of time they supposedly save. Sure it makes a great sandwich but so does a large pan (won't be a instagram worthy though).

Last purchased Apr 4, 2017, this was 17.99. That said, I have made hundreds of egg mcmuffins in that time and would recommend at discounted.

Adding one for college grad gift.

I normally don't like one-task kitchen items, but overall, this one is a net timesaver for us. The top and bottom plates only come into contact with the bread and the egg cups are easy to wash. We paid full price for this item last year and it's earned its keep.

or get them a hot plate and they can cook 100x more things....
