They are $28 on Amazon... not OEM winix filters but I'm sure they are fine

Check your local energy company for possible rebates. I bought a couple of these in the past and got back $50 each via NJ Clean Energy [dsmtracker.com]. Going to pick up another now.

These have more readily available aftermarket filters at lower costs. I believe this model won't work in as large of a room as the other one. I picked up the Blueair and also own this Winix. This is a more practical choice.

Didn't want to read 60 comments but to answer the same question over and over again: Winix does not emit ozone

I have 3 Winix filters running at home. Reduces dust and allergens. Does a great job with cleaning out smoke and stink. I live with a place with high grass and tree pollen (Juniper and Cedar). Helps circulates the home airflow rather than turning on A/C or fan. Cleaning the first filter is a breeze with a Dyson vacuum cleaner. Will it change your life for the better? Yes.

Thank You for the reply. My apologies but I got mistaken this with humidifier. I needed humidifier as I need to setup one in my basement but I believe at this price I can buy this to setup in my kid room too
Truly not intending to be rude - but typically basements are already humid, especially if any part is underground. Generally folks purchase dehumidifiers for basement use, to dry out the humid air. Ours does run 24x7. You may wish to re-evaluate to determine which type of appliance you need for that area. There are multiple threads regarding past dehumidifier deals, containing a lot of good information and recommendations.

amazon's winix store regularly has these under $40 as fyi. search: Genuine Winix 115115 Replacement Filter A
That's the C535 filter. I couldn't find genuine Winix filters for this model on Amazon. Using the FILTER30 code on the Winix site, you can get a set for the C545 for $41.99. Costco.com sells the same set for $44.99

I have couple of C545 that lost connection to the mothership (for remote control). Wireshark shows that they are trying to connect to IP 0.0.0.0 instead of AWS IP so it appears they lost their configuration. With no internet, you lose remote control and timer. Another negative is that controls are so bright they can easily compete with a night-light.

Also worth mentioning is that this air purifier has a 'fake' air quality sensor. The sensor is not a dust sensor but rather chemical sensor which detects presence of odors (filtered by charcoal filter) not dust (filtered by mesh/HEPA).

We run one at night in the bedroom and haven't noticed a difference, but wasn't expecting to. Got two more as I'm more concerned about fire season with four young sets of lungs in the house. These seem like a really good deal considering the extra filter and square feet per unit.

Be aware, the WiFi is shit on this. I still have this unit from the last time Costco had the sale and the about a day after setting up the WiFi, it says it's no longer available. However, it's still connected to my network. I reset it and set it up about 3 of 4 times, and like clockwork, a day later it says it's unavailable in the app.

This is well documented so don't buy this if you want a smart purifier. Once it says it's unavailable, no schedules you set will run.
Agreed, it's not the greatest. However, I have two and WiFi light is always blinking on only one trying to find a network. I have a mesh network hard wired at each point. Every other device in my house has zero issues. It does lead me to believe it's not all of them because I've moved the unit that always connects around and there are no issues. I'd say it's worth a shot at this price with the filter bundle. It's definitely only suited for a smaller bedroom or office.

Just bought this about a week ago too. Just put in for a price adjustment. Costco says they honor deals and will adjust price if bought within 30 days.

I bought one winix air purifier couple of years. That was my first purchase. The filters are a bit expensive but you can get a knock off one from Amazon. But I can tell you that these purifiers work amazingly. I tried for the energy rebate but I was surprised the equipment did not qualify for one.

This deal is a no-brainer. Bought two last time they had the sale and went for the max amount again. The extra set of filters makes this totally worth it. Haven't experience any wi-fi issues because don't need it. I just leave it running on either the setting 2 or 3 at all times. Setting 4 is used only during cooking.

I don't know how much my life has improved because of these units since I've had other Winix air purifiers for years, but when I change the filters I'm really happy that what I find is not inside my lungs.

If you clean the prefilter often your HEPA will last much longer than a year and then you can still shake it out and vacuum it out at least once.

In for two since I'm in CA and I expect another bad fire season. We had a super dry winter so most of the state is one giant fuel pile.

Have two of these and they are fantastic. I just leave it on auto. It's virtually silent, only ramping up if it detects something. One of them is in my kitchen and it automatically changes to High setting when cooking. Very convenient.

I don't use the wifi. I see no need tbh. Check the pre-filter every month. Clean it out if needed. For the bigger main filter, change it as directed on the manual. Don't need an app for that.

As for the filters, it works very well and will keep your room smelling fresh in addition to the main benefits of the HEPA filter for allergies etc.

This should fall under the normal 100% guarantee unlimited return policy, not the 90 day one they mention in the original post here. Their 90 return policy only applies to specific types of electronics and air filters are not mentioned.
