I heard HP is atrocious with memory options? If I decide to upgrade later, what memory can I use that can at least do the 3200 mhz speed like what's default in this purchase?

Any DDR4 3200 MHz memory will work. If you buy this, once you receive it, just check the Latency of the Memory and buy something with 3200 MHz speed and same memory timing. And I have clearly mentioned that it is using standard Kingston HyperX DDR4 memory. Didn't get your comment about HP being atrocious.

Everyone over estimates how much power a graphics card uses. Use something like this to get a more realistic sense of what you need:

600W is more than enough for a 3070. You can upgrade the PSU for $30 too if you're scared.

I think he's referring to alot of these pre-built oems have proprietary motherboards that lack xmp and the only way to get faster ram is via there models of ram that are detected. I've seen quite a few and without xmp they will default on your normal sticks to 2133. If this one has xmp that's a nice bonus

Good deal and repped. I've bought prebuilt for my lst 2 computers (Dell and HP) and upgraded both. Never understand these people saying everything is proprietary. Maybe I just got lucky šŸ€

Alot of it depends on your cpu. Nvidia is recommending based on a 10900k which is quite power hungry. But 30 series is pretty bad power spike wise I've caught my 3070 pulling 130% of its power limit when it's max is set to 110% so it's a good idea to have some wiggle room. But I agree with a 5600x at stock and a 3070 you will be perfectly find with a 600w

It really just depends on thevpre built some have proprietary psus and mobos. Some are alot easier to upgrade and have standard fourm factor motherboards and psus. What kind of ship date did this build give you btw?

I'd just wait on a better cyberpower from Best Buy for less money and better specs

So weird, what an odd build...8gb ram? Really? If you buy this you're better off chucking that ram and buying a set of 16gb(8x2) for like 60-80 bucks off Amazon.

OEM ram support issues have been over exaggerated. For one, you won't even notice much difference in performance unless you were going from 8GB to 32gb and the game happens to be memory intensive. In most cases you'd gain more fps in a driver optimization on the GPU than going from 16GB 3200mhz vs 3600mhz etc. 8GB is fine if you're doing a full screen game and not doing much multi tasking. If you like to leave up 100 chrome tabs, then sure get more ram.
