Amex Offer: Monthly spend offer: Spend $75, get $5 back for up to 3 months. Save at U.S. Supermarkets

"Supermarket" means a standalone merchant in the U.S. primarily selling supermarket products. Excludes gasoline purchases and gift card purchases. Specialty Food Stores, Superstores, and Warehouse Clubs are not considered Supermarket stores.

I doubt if they can determine that you bought a gift card at a supermarket.

So 6.7% CB plus whatever your card's base CB rate is at grocery stores.

I haven't come across any grocery stores that report level 3 data to AmEx. But if it's expressly excluded by the terms, we'll need good ol' fashioned SD testing and reporting. Are you volunteering? Smilie

Sadly I don't have it on my BC Everyday. I do have 5% back for insurance, up to $15, so it will come out to be the same thing. I pretty much only use this card for groceries and gas on a regular basis - probably why I didn't get the supermarkets offer.

Thanks for posting, OP

Yes. For June, July, and August, you can earn $5 each month by spending at least $75 each month, for a total of $15.

They can actually.
Now whether they will act on it is a different story.

Best way to obscure, make sure your total is not a suspicious round number ($75). Buy a banana along with it.

I don't have the grocery deal, but I have similar offers for both insurance and cable/satellite.

Also, does anyone else have a 0% promo to apply to existing card? I'm not sure if I've ever seen a credit card you already have offer this before. 12mos 0% APR.

You've been selected to get a promotional APR of 0% on eligible new purchases made during the promotional period. The promotional rate begins the day after you enroll your Card and expires 12 billing cycles later. After the end of the promotional period, the APR for these purchases will be your standard Purchase APR, which varies with the Prime Rate
