Not the lowest. It was $350's couple month ago from AA. I doubt it will go back that low. This is good price

yep. i looked at that one while pondering this one and realized those pandemic prices are not coming back for now.

When I tried to book a flight to Japan with Air Canada, there was a snippet saying something about quarantine requirement even for people who are in transit (via Canada). Did I read that correctly?

Please note that Air Canada's refund policy was horrible during the beginning of the pandemic. But I don't know how it is now.

No, it requires quarantine for 21 days in the hotel and you have to pay out of your own pocket. You can book in advance all the way to April next year but who knows what will happen. As someone mentioned, Air Canada has the worst cancellation policy, proceed with your own risk.
