Audible does not consider this 4 months at 6.95/mo a "Trial" they consider it a "Promotion". Ergo, the whole blurb in the FAQ about prime members getting 2 titles instead of 1 for starting a trial does not apply at all.
That said I went on chat with them, explained it was misleading, and ultimately they gave me a free credit for being a whiny PITA. So in short, you might be able to get 5 credits instead of 4 for about $28 over 4 months, if you put in some leg work.
Time to burn those credits on Stormlight Archive, which are like $60 to buy full price.
I did not qualify for for the last $99/yr deal because I has supposedly signed up for another offer within the past year.
I am hesitant to jump on this offer because I fear it will make me ineligible for the next $99/yr deal. However if that is not the case then this sounds like a nice way to get credits while waiting for that deal.
