these are pre-release prices, which will always drop before street date. currently cheaper than the standard bd+dvd combo pack, maybe worth a pickup (watched it at home on hboxmax) just to support wb as one of the only (THE only?) studio still doing 3d blu-ray releases in the US.
The drama in this is magnificent. Their relationship develops into new highs, and makes this almost an intriguing love crime thriller. Physical contact doesn't come too short. 3D guarantees your involvement in the world. Happy Kong Day!!
I actually wouldnt anticipate much of a further drop in price if previous 3d releases are any indication. Kaiju action is VERY satisfying. Human stuff not so much. Cant wait to see the city scene in glorious 3d!
I don't usually critique movies, but the suspension of disbelief in this movie was really pushing it. Sure, it's a giant gorilla fighting a giant lizard, that I can deal with, but the sunlight and extremely fast travel times were too much.

I thought they stopped selling 3D blu rays in the U.S.
Too bad no new OLEDs support 3D. The older models that had 3D only required passive glasses, resulting in a better experience (less crosstalk, better motion, etc.).
I would likely sell my JVC projector and buy a 77" or 82" OLED if 3D capability were still available...
Just fast forward through the talking and you'll enjoy it. I was waiting for that True Blood dude to bite Kong and turn him into a bad-ass Vampire Gorilla.

I agree - for $28 it should be 4K + 3D + Digital. Stop being greedy studios.

The fight scenes are better than I expected. I personally wouldn't pay $28 to see this fwiw.
I couldn't finish this movie it was so bad. And I love monster movies.
