Just wanted to say thank you for including the power supply details in the title!
Likewise!! That needs to be mandatory for PC posts on SD.

so i have the regular 1660 super (the big one from a strix computer) - can i just fit that into my dell 8940? also..not sure if anybody knows, but the only game i play is warzone...how well/horrific would this pc handle that game? any tips is much appreciated!
Can anyone confirm this comes with a sata power cable for a second drive? My other xps came with an optical drive, and it had a power cable with a spare connector I used for a SSD I had lying around. This deal does not come with an optical drive so I'm thinking there is no cable. Also for those wondering the 2280 slot will hold up to 2TB NVME per Crucial, and the shorter 2230 slot is already taken up by the BT/WiFi card.
This was a decent deal. I bought one with same specs for $20 more last month. Running it stock (no repasting) the fan gets a bit loud on occasion, but it's been humming along for in Nicehash Quickminer on "Medium" OC profile about 2 weeks 24-7 pulling between 27 and 27.5 Mh/s. No crashes. Temps consistently at 57 C, and 71 C "Hotspot T."
I know the 1660 Super can get closer to 30-31 Mh/s if you manually OC, but I haven't had luck with this particular card, as the settings on Reddit don't get me any better results, nor has iteratively adjusting the OC settings in MSI Afterburner, so rather than jumping through hoops I'm ok using the simple Quickminer solution.
The cards included uses micron memory. The settings that worked for me was 67% power limit, - 89 core Clock, +580 Memory a d it got me to 30 mh/s. Every other setting I tried would either crash it or drop the rate pretty low
For anyone asking about AMEX, they sent me an email after I purchased, so it looks like it works for this website. Dell is confusing because they have multiple sites.
Also, it took me months to get the Dell offer but I found that after adding EVERY SINGLE AMEX offer, it eventually showed up. Maybe this was luck, I don't know.
Is it a bad sign if I didn't get any email from AMEX after purchase?
Looks like we'll receive sooner than expected. My original delivery date of 6/14 - 6/17 is now moved up to 6/9.
Charge to Amex is still pending, so don't know if offer has applied yet.
Perhaps you are okay with all of this for the price, just know what you are getting and adjust your expectations. Hope this was helpful.
Gonna replace some 4 year old 1060 3gbs that slaved away at the mines that I put in kids PCs. I'm gonna undervolt these like I do with all my GPUs and selling the old GPUs and XPS desktops leaves me with a net maybe $20-40 cost to upgrade each GPU. Good deal in my book.
Can I use the built in 8 and add another 8gb chip of ram or do I need to buy another matching pair of 8gb ram?
Yes you can just add another 8gb. If it is not too late to answer your question, pg. 16 of the Dell XPS 8940 manual provides all the possible configurations. I recommend Crucial through Amazon.CT8G4DFRA266. That is what I used in my last 8940. Ordering again for this one.

Thanks. Is there a specific order that I'll need to install it? Such as first and third or second a fourth slots? I've heard that it's finicky.
