While the commenters above are correct, I'm not sure it's realistic to expect anything else at this price point. Especially given the current price of timber. If you want a wooden coffee table at this price range, I'd suggest looking second hand. Or hope for a price mistake that actually fills the order.

Any good recommendations on a lift top coffee table in a slightly higher price range?
Not really sure you can get much quality in this range. I ended up buying a lift top table by Ashley in the 300s price range. They might have something cheaper than the one I got. We have solid wood furniture for other items, Ikea stuff and these Ashley pieces. They seem pretty high quality for non-solid wood.
These are the Todoe range. Ashley's site had them on sale for Memorial day.
Any recommendations for a lift top table under $150? I looked at Ikeas $100 one in person last year and it was really really short in the lifted position, impractical to eat or work on.

I bought this from Amazon 2 weeks ago. It cost a bit more but is also a larger table as far as width & length, same height folded. When I open the table it's and extra 5 inches up (24 in). Not sure if you'll much different heights at these price ranges, but you never know.

I have one of the Sauder ones similar to this https://www.sauder.com/furniture/...ffee-table
You can buy via Target and get the 5% off if you have a Target card.
It's flat pack, build it yourself type. I think of it like Ikea+ quality.
I have a few Sauder pieces in the living room and am happy with them.
Spend a little more coin for something better. I bought an almost identical one from Walmart under a different "brand" and i had numerous issues with it.
Only kept it because i didn't want to deal with returning it as i have no walmart around me (shocking i know).
Even took notes during the setup as it was soo bad. See below and buy at your own risk
- Confusing directions
- Mismatched stained legs
- Wrong screws mixed in
- Springs are not mentioned in part list
- Two different types of metal dowels and fasteners. Why?
- Confusing directions - step 4 make sure holes are all on one side
- Do step 7 before step 6
On top of that i tripped an fell on it slightly while the desk was extended and all the joints ripped out of the cheaply made mdf. Its just a regular coffee table now.. 😔

I have a faux marble top table I purchased from AZ 3 years ago. (ROCKPOINT Living Faux Marble Lift Top Coffee Table) I use it as a computer desk. Make sure you have plenty of ballast in the storage area or the table will fall over. I use 2 Himalayan Salt Plates. Remember not to lean on the table top or it might start to close!
