it's rocking pretty good reviews from amazon.com too: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product..._qh_dp_hza.
196 reviews 4.5 stars.. amazon really dont pull ratings. from their amazon page.

it's confirmed it's NOT a Danfoss clone compressor. That's not a bad thing just stating facts. I have a similar product (costway fridge) and it's dont great for several years. I only use it when camping so it's not running 24/7 which does help extend it's life.

I'm guessing there is no compressor in this. Car amps wouldn't come close to being able to run a compressor. Tire inflator would pop my 15 amp fuse. Just make sure you don't need your phones charged before leaving the house with this. Better yet, carry extra fuses for your DC port. I could see something like this popping a fuse.

Edit: No sh*t it does have a compressor. It should definitely come with extra fuses. Be warned.

Not one review under 4 stars. Either this is the best product in the world or they are selecting reviews to post.
These refrigerators use very low amps, looks like the highest it goes is 5amps doing simple math of watts/voltage. I have an iceco and it's amazing build quality. Only complaint I've heard about these budget ones are short life expectancy

Ships from China, not enough of a discount to make it worth it vs Amazon. Great fridge BTW, i have a larger model with no complaints.

For camping or for keeping stuff cold during a hurricane with relatively low power (e.g. powered by a "solar generator"), these are great. You can get it slightly cheaper with code HOBOTECH20 ($280.50).

Note: I am not affiliated in anyway with HOBOTECH. I just happened to have been recently shopping for one of these (I received it yesterday) to get ready for hurricane season here and be better prepared in general. I found the reviews on these units and others reviewed by HOBOTECH helpful when making my decision.

Even though it would have been cheaper to use the codes they offered, I ended up buying the larger 53 quart one from Amazon just because of the ease of returns (should the unit come defective or not meet expectations based on research).

You can search for HOBOTECH BougeRV refrigerator (YouTube) and some should come up. I checked out other reviews as well to be better informed. If looking for one, might be good to do some research.

I dont have this exact unit, but I have 2 of these type 12v refrigerators and they were a life saver during our back to back hurricanes in SW Louisiana last year. They ran for a total of 3 weeks like champs while we were without power. Several neighbors invested in them after seeing how ours worked. Most people rely on ice chest after storms, but ice becomes a hard to find commodity. These run easily on solar recharged power stations. Gas for generators is also in short supply for days or even weeks after a major storm.

A compressor used for cooling is different than a compressor used to inflate your tires. These fridges generally use around 1 amp where your tire inflators use 10+ amps as you describe. These refrigerators are a game changer for roadtrips and car camping.

I have the 30q model and I would just recommend you add your own thermometer inside the fridge because the one I have can be off as much as 15 degrees F . I might have gotten a bad unit but that was my experience regardless. on eco mode my fridge pull 40-45 watts on compressor start and hangs out in the 30's while running the compressor so .. yes these are amazing :-) .

My friend's been using these refrigerators for camping trips. The only complaint is not enough space. But overall, I was impressed by it.

These things are heavy (this one is 30.5 pounds on empty) so either you'll break tour back, or go for the ones with wheels. I tried one with wheels and never go back to no-wheels.

It's a AC/DC compressor fridge. They've been making them for years and years. ARB, Dometic, Truckfridge, Norcold, Whynter, etc. I've got a Whynter 50 quart and it works great. They do not use a lot of power to run. I run mine through a 12v outlet in a van and haven't had a problem. Maybe you should check them out a bit before commenting and turning people off?

I own this exact model. Has been great for camping and keeping beer cold. I like that you can choose cold or freeze. Due to temp swings I keep it at 28 for cooling and it keeps everything very cold without freezing. Wattage usage is very low, especially on eco mode. 35-45 watts an hour. I use my solar generators to power it.
My only complaints are that there is a small cubby inside that is 15 degrees warmer. This is fairly useless. I use it to prechill extra drinks before adding them to the main compartment or as a fridge when the main area is in freezer mode.
Biggest benefits to these coolers are not screwing around with ice all the time, no wet mess inside and no ice packs free up a ton of room inside! It doubles your usable cooler space!
My biggest regret is probably not spending the extra $100 to buy a nice ICECO brand with the better compressor but I am very happy w this cooler.
