Cameras aren't that great. 10 seconds latency which means it starts recording too late

I own 5 cam and motion detection is just awful. The setting for a grey out zones is just doesn't work and peeks whatever is at the camera sight. Wont spot a dog shittin on your lawn only spots when it walks away.

Yikes. Are you sure it's not a function of good wifi connectivity?

Two cameras are $179. This is misleading.

I have blink, wink, stink, mink and kink. I don't have any latency problems. It must be you.

I bought into blink at launch. Going back to when they only had an indoor camera with no night vision. Over the last 5 years ive come to own about 8 cameras at various locations around my property. These are great cameras with the majority of complaints being user error or terrible wifi. They operate solely on the 2.4 band which if you live in a dense area is most likely jammed. These cameras were never designed to be an impenetrable force. Take the guy above me as an example. These cameras do not have 15 second latency. I have one camera 30 feet from my house and it records the fedex guy every time before his full body is even in the frame yet.

Not a wifi issue, it's a problem with the equipment. Similar problem with the Ring doorbell - I can watch someone come to the door, and there's at least a 10-second, sometimes over a minute, lag to when it hits the notifications. Same with the motion detection lights - they light up when there's motion, but the notification is delayed. Seems like it's something in the Amazon/Alexa/Ring software.

Try this one (good through the 13th, I think, and you can use or dispose of the Show5): https://slickdeals.net/f/15080485-blink-outdoor-2-cam-kit-bundle-with-echo-show-5-2nd-gen-114-99-or-3-cam-for-159-99

I have the XT2 and have been happy with it. I want another set for a different home but don't want to pay the subscription fee.

If I plug in a USB storage device does everything essentially work the same way? Just no storage in the cloud?

For those who wants to view multi cameras simultaneously, Blink is not for you. You have to view each camera individually, which means you can't monitor two places at the same time. It's an app feature that other companies implemented, but Blink refuses to do it.

There are pros and cons on the Wyze vs Blink outdoor cameras. I've read the Wyze camera is better than Blink. especially at night. However the outdoor Wyze camera requires a base plugged into the router. Therefore it may be difficult to get a good signal from the base to the Wyze camera. But Wyze has the free 14 second video storage to the cloud. With the Blink on sale, they are about the same price. So I'm not sure which one to buy.

I have seen contradicting results from the Amazon website. Some said no sync module included but some said it came with it. May I ask if anyone know the true answer? Does it come with the sync module? Thanks
