Disagree with your brand recommendations (denon and Samsung) but agree with avoiding a stereo receiver. TV/Movies are tough to watch without a center channel.
Do you recommend any that are around $200 range ?

I'd get something used if your budget only allows $200 and you want something nice. Receivers/amps that I own are pioneer and carver.

Actually in general I think used is the way to go for speakers as they don't seem to retain their value. I bought an older svs pb12 plus for $400, a pioneer vsx 2012 for $50, pair of Def tech bp8's for $250, etc. Of course, this was pre covid, so I don't know if the same deals can be had.

Been waiting for this lineup to go on-sale for a bit. Picked up a pair of 530s and a 520c. Must resist the 590s, I do not have the room to justify them...

I have some huge, 40+ pound floorstanding speakers in my main room, they still greatly benefit from a sub, especially for movie content.

If I could do it all over again, I'd buy better bookshelf speakers and two subs. This is what I learned from my garage system as the bookshelf speakers with 5.25 inch woofers generally blend well with a 12 inch sub in-room.

So my suggestion: for the price of the floorstanding speakers anyone is looking at, spend it on bookshelf speakers, speaker stands, and a sub instead.
This is fantastic advice

These were very hyped when they first came out and then they went out of stock for like 3 straight years. So when they finally popped up back in stock in 2019, I just had to check them out for myself.
These speakers are fine and I'm pretty sure this is the all-time low price.

I mostly shifted away because I had a speaker buying problem and I just had way too many.
Yes. Speaker buying problem. Haha. Am in the same league! I wish there's a vaccine for this disease of mine..

These speakers look different because they use waveguides for the horns. This improves the immersiveness of the sound stage. It really does make a difference. Listening to a Dolby Atmos surround sound test with a 3.1 setup (center, sides, but no rears), with my eyes closed I can pinpoint where the sound is coming from in 360 degrees around me. It's uncanny.
I am putting together a 2.1 or 3.1 setup, mind sharing what speaker are you using for the center channel? Thanks!

I used to own these (and many other book shelf speakers). The guy I was replying to asked about the Bass. IMO, the JBL 230 and Infinity R162 with the 6.5" drivers both have considerably better bass.
And I'm not knocking these 530. But for me, I'd want them paired with a sub.
I agreed . I used to have 590 and 530. Bass from 530 is not good. 590 is great speaker but I sold both.

Yeah, resist the 590's because after you get them (if you are like me) you'll want to get a nice amp to make them sound even better. A few weeks ago I got the 580's because I didn't want to get another amp but now I have the bug to make these really come alive. I've been researching 3 channel amps. My center channel the an Infinity rc263.

Thanks for the heads up, I love my Pioneer fs52 towers (paired in 5.1 with a SVS PB-1000 Pro sub) but I couldn't resist these, especially with the great return policy, Looking forward to checking out, have a feeling I will be keeping them. Thanks!!

Immersiveness of the sound stage??? Wave guides improve directivity, making for a nice, broad listening window.

Pioneer and Carver? Pioneer is more miss than hit, but occasionally they do a nice job. Carver? Lots of power in my old a-500x, but I can't imagine it's particularly clean power. And their speakers? Nice if you're a fetishist for weird designs and not sound. Samsung/Harman/JBL/Infinity/Revel/etc. are the best in the business overall. That means they're more hit than miss, but still they have some misses here and there. I'd happily put the 530 up against an equivalently priced and even more expensive pioneer speaker. The PB12 is excellent, but I'd want 3-4 of them.

How would these fair with a vintage stereo receiver, solely for listening to records?
They'd be groovy, man. They dip down to 4ohms, which is not too bad, as long as it's a decent amp. Significantly better than the RP-600M, which dip well under 4 ohms.
