Reading the terms from the website, it says it will also give 49 bonus points for the everyday purchases that aren't from Southwest.. so does that mean we don't have to buy a SW GC?

I think all purchases have to be SW. The different credit cards just normally give 1,2, or 3 points

They have "qualifying purchase" language, it needs to be purchased on SW to qualify.
