Think I'll just buy a flight... can always cancel and spend over the year

I had a similar issue. Made my purchase 6/11 at 12:33 am East Coast time. Called general SW number and was informed that SW operates on Central time, hence the charge appearing 6/10 on my statement.
I was given a number to call to follow up -- 855-234-4654 option 5. Hours are M-F 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Central time. That will give you the best results and they can confirm the exact date and time of your purchase regardless of when it posted to your credit card.
Resolution was not so simple but in the end I was given a case number and received a follow up email saying that the bonus points will appear after the next statement closing, which for me is in the next few days. So technically still no bonus points but at least I have it in writing that I am due the points any day now.

Once I receive the bonus points I will ask SW if it is possible to extend the Companion Pass for the two months I have lost if the points had posted properly in June/July. But that's another issue...
