Nice price. Would be all over it if it was 38-40mm. Seems every watch deal these days is 42mm or more. Nothing for us thin wristers
This a mechanical watch while the Apple Watch really isn't a watch. It's a mini computer on your wrist. There's just no comparison.
The Khaki is a unique watch in both stying and dimensions. I have 7"-7.25" wrist, and often wear 42mm divers. I tried the 42mm khaki field automatic for a while. Loved the style, but it was just too large for my wrist. The larger face/lack of outer bezel and long lugs make the Khaki wear so much larger than the measurements would suggest. It is the same reason the 38mm Khaki wears so well. I ended up selling off the 42mm and getting a 38mm khaki. It is just about perfect. I have found 39mm-40mm to be my sweet spot for most other watches.

The Marathon GPM (general purpose mechanical) is a bit smaller than you want at 34mm, but is definitely more true to traditional field watch sizing. Is $360 retail, cheaper for the quartz versions

My buddy has this as his daily. Too small imo. He has this wrists and can make it work. Looks like a women's watch. I had the jdd. Loved that watch but it was a tank. Too thick.
Is the Tissot powermatic 80 more or less the same as the H10? Both seem to be based off the ETA 2824 movements, slowed to 3 Hz, and I guess a better mainspring?
For you watch gurus out there - what makes the balance spring tick and 3 hz vs 4 hz? Is this related to the properties of the spring itself (like the spring constant), or can it be adjusted to tick at different frequencies?
Anyone know of there is such a thing to add a fine-regulating mechanism to the popular NH36 series or the miyota 9015 series? Never had a watch that regulates with a screw mechanism or something more precise. Craving for the accuracy of rolex/omega/COSC without the price. (and without taking 30 minutes of back and forth adjustments)

I know someone that has the small Marathon dive watch. He's a bit on the shorter side, but well built. I think it sort of works since the watch is a bit tall with the dial recessed, deep into the watch. I dunno, for the guy it just works as if he's a military dude about to go on some mission.
For me, people would probably say it accentuates my thick nerdy glasses - probably not my most positive quality!

definitely not modern sizing on the GPM, but will suit the smaller wristed folk out there as I mentioned or those looking for a field watch with more traditional sizing
To anyone wanting and automatic watch this is an exceptional and excellent watch. It houses an in house h10 movt based on eta. Very well built and is the cheapest ive seen. Also anyone who doesnt prefer the band can always change it to nato or leather or even steel bracelet. Nato is the way id go. Finally just to add apple watch is not a watch. It is a disposable 3 year use mini screen computer. If you want to look at the time then u can always use the phone. But this is an automatic watch that can be passed on to your grandkids theoretically speaking if well taken care off. Automatic watches are art on the wrist in a world of fitbits and apple landfill. Cheers.
I purchased this deal. 4th of July weekend got into the pool and the watch wasnt up to it. Sent it back in that week. Here it is a month later, been calling the last few days and finally got someone on the phone. They gave me the run around and told me they don't have an update. Said 4-6 weeks. My experience with them so far has been horrible. If you purchased the Hamilton from this deal or the jomashop id check the water worthiness. Three hundred is a lot for me to drop in an accessory. Mind you this happened under 30 days of the purchase. I won't be buying from them again.

For those wondering, the strap isn't as green as the first picture, not as light as the other though closer to that.
But this deal can be found on teddy baldassarre
the marathon GPM is 288 there
