I got some starbucks coffee sold by amazon through subscribe and save last month that arrived with a best by date of the 19th this month. My experience is they're getting rid of stuff they won't be able to sell soon.

When I'm done with reusable cups I leave them in a bowl on the counter and wait untill the coffee dries out. By the end of day you can shake maybe 80-85% of the grounds out easily and then close and tap to get the remaining out. After that I toss it in the dishwasher.
