How in the world is BK not crazy busy. It's half the price of the other fast food places.

For some reason, the BKs around here take 10+ minutes to make your order. The employees are genuinely unhappy about their job and don't try to hide it.

It's a great deal but because of the wait times, I can see why people are less likely to frequent a BK

I drive clear across town quite often just for BK, since feeding a family is more suitable at this location.

Chicken nuggets are highway robbery at any other location. At BK, you add it during the checkout for $1.50 for 10. The same thing would cost me over $4 or $5.

The food at BK is a great deal. I got a whopper taste test for $8. Thats a Whopper, Impossible Whopper, 2 fries and 2 small drinks for $8. At McDonalds, thats a single quarter pounder meal, granted it includes cheese.

the problem is the service at BK. The one near me is randomly closed at times. Today, they were closed for walk ins. These guys were open throughout the pandemic.

A few years ago, I was yelling at the drive thru at 4pm because no one was answering. I was genuinely worried they were being robbed or something. I went to the window, and the only worker came out to say "sorry, he was in the middle of a job interview".

It's solid food I have no issues with it, however the stores are usually pretty poorly run. Always less than ideal cleanliness lobby, at a local BK in my old city they recently had a bust for drugs being sold out of the store near a school zone. I order on the app well in advance and still have to wait the 10-15 minutes when I get there...where as Taco Bell for example the bag is ready to go. Always forgetting/missing items if i dont check etc.

The food is solid but it's not really a master of anything, but when they have amazing deals like this i will go, otherwise i just go elsewhere.

I don't do much fast food but when I do it is usually McDonald's McDouble daily deal, since the locations are much more prevalent and it's hard to beat $1 for a sandwich and a large soda. Plus they let me do bunless via the app, which is not a dealbreaker of course.

But to your question/point, every BK I've been to has been consistently dingy. I'd say the dirtiest chain, rivaled only by JITB and Taco Bell. That said, I'll be hitting them up on the way home, thanks!

Oh, and the app is the worst fast food one I've used as well.

i've found this is location/franchisee-dependent. the one slightly further from our house has no upcharge for bacon, but does for onions and tomatoes (but not pickles), while the closest one doesn't charge for onions or pickles but does for bacon. might be worth checking in the app just in case, but we've gotten so much free bacon between the t-mo tuesday deals, and other promotions. plus i thought they'd gotten rid of the 6pc nuggets for $1 (could not find on the regular menu system or even searching in the app), but then it showed up during checkout as a suggestion, hahah. yes

The $2 Double Whopper is my favorite sandwich of them all. The app worked really well in the past but I haven't used it for a while since half or more of the BK's in my area have closed and the remaining ones are so poorly upkeep and managed that I stopped going. It really is sad because BK's breakfast was everyone in my households favorite. The open BK closest to my house is setting on about the most prime land in the city, so I am sure someone will buy them out and close it down as well. Frown I hope someone at BK corporate will make some changes and get all of the BK's back in shape and well managed.

Are you sure you have the latest version of the app? The latest version on Android allowed me to store a GC.

What I hate about them is that you can't split an order between a GC and another form of payment when the GC isn't enough to cover the order. The app asks me to reload my GC balance 🙄

They are bad at processing app orders. Last time I ordered thru the app the lady said the register said my balance was due. I was confused and handed her my card. She looked startled and said "oh no you have to pay in the app". I rechecked the app and it said paid, I received an email receipt, and even pulled up my credit card account to show the charge went thru. After sitting there for 10 minutes she dead ass starred at me with a stink face and said "I don't know what to do, so I guess I'll just have to let you have the food for free this time." I looked at her and said "well burger king charged me for it, so I did pay so don't worry. Plus I won't use your app again because apparently an idiot created it." So good luck with Bk app ordering.
