Costco has a sale on the "AvertX 8-Channel 4K NVR Cloud Managed Security Camera System with 4TB HDD and 6 4K Bullet Cameras with Smart Analytics" for $1299.99 until 6/14/21.
https://www.costco.com/avertx-8-c...29749.html
More information about the included HD448 cameras is at
https://www.avertx.com/hd448-4k-i...analytics/ (which retails for $339.99 with a 100' Cat5e cable). It appears the NVR is the A800+ model at
https://www.avertx.com/a800-plus-...-recorder/ (which retails for $1249). I realize the retail price may be inflated, but adding up the prices of these components that come in Costco's package comes up to about $3289.
As another data point, a 3rd party seller on newegg is selling the same package for $1689.99 at

Anyone have more info or experience with this? The company AvertX advertises that they develop the software in the U.S. and their support is also U.S. based. The hardware is imported, but it's not clear what OEM is used. It seems their main retailer is Costco (as seen at https://www.avertx.com/avertx-deals/), and no one can beat Costco's return policy.
The HD448 cameras use a 1/2" sensor, which is better than the 1/2.8" sensors that many other retail 4K camera systems have (e.g. Lorex). The camera specs also say 20 fps @ 8MP (3840 × 2160). But the specs on the A800+ NVR state "4MP HD+ resolution @ 30 images per second on all channels; 4K UHD resolution @ 10 images per second on all channels". Does this mean that the cameras are really limited to 10 fps at 4K when used with the NVR?
Is 4TB hard drive enough for this kind of system? A lot of package systems only come with 2TB or 3TB so 4TB seems good. At https://content.syndigo

If this is a Hikvision, you can add other Hikvision OEM cameras to it to augment the kit ( typically )

I suspect this system is a Hikvision OEM system, and most of those NVRs have an ONVIF setting for each channel you can enable.
AvertX may not advertise that as they want people to buy their cameras.

For some who park nice cars in their driveways, they may want better image capture in low light.
If you only need a couple of cameras on the front, you can look for getting a few decent low light performers and a used i7 newer gen PC running Blue Iris and a PoE switch...
So far I found a case which has the similar stem, but the body is round and the specs are better...

update:
This case looks close.. specs are off, so perhaps the internals are different.. both have 1/2" sensors .. so a closer match

These cameras are significantly better than the Reolink 8MP cameras, just compare the sensor size for a start.
The Costco return policy advantage is also a significant value imho.
Also, yes Reolink iirc does not have offices in the USA so they save on that cost..
and yes,.. never a easy jog to determine which camera kit is best ...
