See you know what's up!

That's funny you mentioned EB. I was going to say something about that, but didn't think anyone would get it.

Every time I went to the local mall... To Electronics Boutique I'd go first.
Lol, yep. First name basis with the workers there. Thought they were the coolest and wanted to work there when I was older! Could spend the entire time there while parents were shopping.

Anyways. I placed my order for a stadia. Want to try pubg on it. Wife used to play Bomberman on SNES, so she might buy into it.

Stadia's terms state that your purchases will be refunded if that were to happen, although it isn't applicable to in game purchases. You will however lose your saves, which doesn't matter to me because once I beat a game I either restart or never revisit it again.
Trusting Google to process a refund LOL

Uhm... Yeah? A company worth over a trillion dollars isn't going to deny customers a refund they are contractually obligated to fulfill. If they didn't they'd be open to a open and shut lawsuit.

Does anyone know if I can use this controller on other bluetooth enabled devices? The reason I ask is: Should I buy this, sell the chromecast ultra, and then use the controller for my NVIDIA shield? Thoughts?

The future of gaming is not owning any games and not owning any hardware? How sad.
It's literally the future of everything digital. Normal people will just own devices highly optimized specifically for retrieving and displaying content from "the cloud". The computers designed to actually run programs will not typically be owned by consumers.

This is taught as a simple fact about where computing is rapidly heading in my computer science classes and everything they teach assumes it and is built around the idea so as not to be teaching us based on an already plainly obsolete paradigm.

This is also why the people who keep saying Google is going to just abandon Stadia are likely very wrong. They know this better than anyone and want in on the initial shift of gaming towards this direction as it has the potential to pay off hugely in the end. The gaming industry is more profitable than Hollywood.

I'll need to look into this, I don't even know if my older Shield will get the Stadia patch. Sounds to me like it's a BT controller so should work with Sheild.

from forum Based on my little bit of testing thus far, I am not noticing any difference in input delay between using the native Stadia controller or using my Xbox One controller connected via Bluetooth to my Shield. https://www.reddit.com/r/Stadia/c...ast_ultra/

I picked up one of these a few months ago - I'm happy with what I paid and what I got out of it.

Is this a good controller outside of Stadia usage? I could use the Chromecast and the controller might be a nice bonus for PC gaming (looks like it's Steam compatible?), but not if it's meh quality-wise.
No. It feels cheap and poorly constructed.

I bought this during the past deal where you also get a copy of RE Village. The game is unplayable for me. The frame rate drops often and the quality of the video gets super grainy that It triggers my motion sickness. I have the chromecast hardwired to my router too so it's not a wifi issue. There are a lot of folks complaining about it on reddit.

You have obviously never dealt with Google before I your entire life, they Are shady AF as well as tighter than a gnats vagina.
I have been ripped off so many times by them already. They do not refund anything ever.
You might want to go look them up on the BBB website, they simply DGAF
I been scammed by them before from their shopping service as well as their play store and their Google store
They Sold me defective merchandise and refused a refund , A DeWalt drill set deal posted here actually was one time.
They sold me an app that no longer works and refused a refund "contact the developer" is their go to and when the developer does not respond for over a year they say "nothing we can do , contact the developer"
Which is probably exactly what they tell you when they shutter stadia and take all your money and all your games.
They also sold me 3 defective phones and refused to honor the warranty(nexus and pixels) ,the phones were WELL under warranty but they refuse to honor the warranty , I only got some compensation through class action lawsuits and not fully compensated.

Google is shady AF you should NEVER do any business with them unless you Absolutely have to.(and unfortunately this is the case because of their total monopoly)

They are strait up scammers,
Like I said go check the BBB
So many unresolved cases where customers were outright robbed
Sent in devices for repairs and got no device back and no financial compensation. Or cases where they just took people's money and never sent the product and no resolution or even a response
You can't even contact them and if you do mange to get someone it will be be some muppet in Mumbai
Making 2 rupees a year who has absolutely zero authority to do anything but read from some half baked script sheet like a GD robot.
so Good luck with you stadia subscription 😂😂😂

I've ordered many times through Google and the Google Shopping, had a problem twice while shopping through Google's store when I didn't receive what was described. I sent a detailed response with a picture and both times I got a refund without having to send the item that I actually received back.

That aside, reading from BBB does make me much more wary than I initially was.
