To people saying led looks as good, it doesn't. The blacks are better on oled so are viewing angles.
Yeah but the question is whether they look $700 better. I don't think so.

I just bought this TV a few weeks ago from Best Buy they will price match Amazon I highly recommend getting it from there because their warranty will cover burn in. I bought it at this price and I am glad I did. If you have a next generation counsel you'll be happy to play it on this TV. The only thing that sucks is you will not be able to run it at 120Hz in Dolby Visual because it does not support it. Other than that it runs smooth and I love the auto adjust to films and visuals. I have both next generation counsels and both systems look very nice on this TV.
Is there any TV out there that does support this? I have yet to come across one that does.

It depends a lot on your use case. I'm happy with my Samsung VA panel in my bedroom. My wife and I watch from one spot basically straight on. The image looks great. However, in our main living space where we have a large sectional and watch from many different angles, OLED makes a lot more sense.

I wanted to believe this as that is my usual frugal standpoint. Then I went to best buy to compare and spent almost an hour just watching various content on MANY different TV's. The only ones that I 💯 could immediately notice a HUGE difference were the LG OLEDs. It truly is night and day, even the high end Samsung QLED looked like a 2 year older model visually. I am always on the side of "buy the #5 top thing for half the price of #1 and you'll never notice the difference" but I couldn't lie to myself on this one. There truly was no comparison, I ended up with the 77" CX Costco deal and don't regret it(remember, I have never spent more than $600 on a tv in my life and only replace every 5yr or so, I am by no means a best of the best guy) these are just my honest observations
How much was the Costco deal? I've been watching the 65" and 77" CX at Costco, so I'd love a deal price point for reference.

Was $3050 for 77" CX with 5yr warranty and a $100 Hulu gift card

These models aren't that old. The 65" CX I bought from Costco last month was made earlier this year.
They're 18+ moths old. There hasn't been a single upgrade in technology over that time?

Honestly not really.

Because of Covid and now due to chip shortages and parts inflation, a lot of the new 2021 models are worse than their equivalent 2020 lines.

The LG Oleds such as the C1 are slightly better than the previous years CX, but it's very marginal. Most experts advise taking the savings and buying last year's model unless the price points are very close.

Got an open box one of these at Best Buy yesterday for $1299. Purchased the geek squad protection for $300, will swap out for a C1 once CX inventory is wiped out.
A 65" for that cheap!?? And did they change their warranty over the last few year or something? Cause when I had a TV blow up a few years ago, they just gave me a gift card for the value that I paid for the TV. Cause you got me scratching my head on being able to do a CX to C1 swap lol.

Edit: saw your reply about negotiating the price down. How many hours are on it??

Yes but it's around 400 bucks
Yes but 400$ is a lot cheaper then a new tv or panel. I bought my 55" oled tv back in 2018. Just started getting burn in this year. My Best Buy warranty covered what the geek squad tech said would have been 800$ for the panel plus his labor. He came out to my house and replaced in right in front of me. If the cost to repair the tv is more then just buying a new one they'll just give you the newest version of the tv. IMO it's well worth the 400$. My replacement panel was an upgraded panel with a different control board then original. It might just be in my head but it looks better then before.

How do you get 10% back?
The 10% is on select TVs including the new C1 version (2021 model) of this TV. However the C1 list price is several hundred dollars more than the CX for almost identical TVs. You get 5% back with a Prime card anyway, so getting10% back the C1 still ends up more than CX with standard 5% back.

There is a difference, but sometimes not as much as people state. IMO, you may get 10% better pq than a premium LED, at a 30-50% cost increase. I own a A8H and perfectly happy watching my other LEDs. I think in some cases getting more screen real estate is more important.
I bet most people couldn't tell a difference in a true blind test of the tv's at least from a picture quality standpoint.
